A chapter book redesign of William Golding’s 1954 novel, Lord of the Flies. The redesign identifies themes present throughout the novel and considers these themes as the symbolic inspiration for the cover and interior design. It evokes in visual form the oppositional qualities of civilization versus savagery that are conveyed through the book’s motifs.
