Rubberneck is a film festival campaign based on the works of Stanley Kubrick and The Coen Brothers. “Rubberneck” refers to passively staring at a car crash or accident with great interest. It is rooted in the human experience of morbid curiosity and the tendency to be drawn to visually striking, even horrifying events. Stanley Kubrick and the Coen brothers exemplify this in their works, masterfully balancing visual intrigue and excruciatingly unpleasant scenes to create a compulsive viewing experience.
